Pride Philanthropy

"My experience with Pride's Prospect Research has been extremely helpful to identify previous gifts and interests of potential donors. We often "know of" our prospects, but little else. This research helps us to connect the dots in many instances. I highly recommend this service."

SERVICES > Grateful Patient Program

Objective: Every healthcare organization has a viable opportunity to connect with its most appreciative constituents. Grateful patients and their families can be outstanding sources of information, become ambassadors and ultimately donors. Our cultivation of this group can yield positive results from improved institutional image to charitable support. By proactively implementing an organized program, we can accelerate this process of involvement and giving.

Elements of the Service

  • Presentation of the program in concept to administration and key departmental leadership
  • Identification of selected departments to "pilot" the program before implementing throughout the entire organization
  • Training/orientation program for departmental personnel to learn how to be the initial "connector", not the fundraiser for the grateful patient
  • Training of the designated "interviewer" who works to develop the relationship and evaluates the potential of an individual to be an "ambassador" or ultimately a donor
  • "Scripting" a typical interview with a grateful patient that can be utilized by a number of different individuals
  • Techniques for marketing and promoting the Grateful Patient program to both our internal and community audiences
  • Tools for communication of results back to departmental "connectors" and other key individuals

Expected Outcome

This is an opportunity to address a constituency that has always been of interest to hospitals. The method is a proactive process of communication and cultivation that moves our most appreciative constituents to becoming a donor of annual, capital and planned gifts. The emphasis is on building a relationship for a lifetime of involvement and support. An additional benefit is the educational component about the organization with key individuals in the community who have had positive patient or family experience.
