"My experience with Pride's Prospect Research has been extremely helpful to identify previous gifts and interests of potential donors. We often "know of" our prospects, but little else. This research helps us to connect the dots in many instances. I highly recommend this service."

SERVICES > Board Recruitment and Training

Objective: Initial selection as well as ongoing additions to a board are key components to any non-profit organization. Proper identification and orientation of the specifics of their responsibility facilitates effective group participation, and meets the individual needs of board members. As their needs are met, their effectiveness and enthusiasm increase to the benefit of the organization.

Elements of the Service

  • Specific job descriptions that are developed in concert with the organization and its mission and expectations
  • Profiles of the type of individuals who can fulfill the different roles and responsibilities in a well functioning board
  • Participation in the actual recruitment meetings with prospective board members to help explain the potential role they may have
  • Facilitating actual orientation sessions from the overall mission of the organization to the particular job of the individual member
  • If necessary, a recommended structure and detailed committee components are provided
  • Assistance in developing orientation materials for new board members

Expected Outcome

Through this service, we develop a board with an effective structure and individuals who clearly understand their roles and responsibilities. At times boards change their emphasis and direction. This process helps to make that transition while attracting additional community leadership to the organization. Any fundraising organization will see expanded financial results as well as a more effective management support group. Positive visibility and gift income will increase through this process.
