"My experience with Pride's Prospect Research has been extremely helpful to identify previous gifts and interests of potential donors. We often "know of" our prospects, but little else. This research helps us to connect the dots in many instances. I highly recommend this service."

SERVICES > Annual Planning and Review

Objective: Objectively assesses the operations, procedures, personnel, finances, structure, communication, fundraising activity, strategic plan and support systems of an organization. Careful analysis of the assessment identifies current strengths and recommended opportunities for improvement.

Elements of the Service

  • Interview key organization's personnel — staff, board and administration
  • Examine the collateral and support printed material of the organization and its activities
  • Evaluate the development staff and board structure
  • Evaluate the record keeping and recognition material of the organization and its activities
  • Develop a detailed compilation of both annual and campaign goals along with supporting objectives and specific timelines for implementation
  • Review and analyze dollars raised versus fundraising expenses
  • Evaluate job descriptions and organizational charts
  • Discuss/review the strategic and annual planning process for the fundraising organization
  • Benchmarking including but not limited to fundraising visits, costs, number of gifts and expenses

Expected Outcome

A written and verbal report will be delivered with the analysis and recommendations. The report is comprehensive in evaluating all areas, but will focus on recommendations for change and improvement in operations and structure. Those recommendations would take into account budgetary and practical issues with which the organization is contending. The local environment varies for each organization and community which influences the recommended course of action.
