Jim Lyons - Senior Partner

Jim has 35 years experience in the fundraising field. He has taught seminars for over 400 institutions and their staff and boards. Jim has worked on an extended basis with over one hundred non-profit clients. During that time his clients have achieved over $325 million in fundraising goals. Jim has spoken at numerous professional meetings with an emphasis on board recruitment, motivation and strategic planning. He also brings to his clients many years of financial and organizational management experience. He is a member of the Association of Health Care Philanthropy and the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Jim is a graduate of the University of Northern Colorado.

Patti Lyons - Executive Partner

Patti was Foundation Director for the Whitfield Healthcare Foundation at Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton, Georgia, for five years. She has been consulting for the last 25 years in fundraising for non-profit institutions. Her emphasis is on major gifts and prospect assessment and strategies for development staff and volunteers. Patti has been a motivational speaker for numerous non-profit boards. Her organizational skills have brought a high level of success to her many clients through the years. Patti is a graduate of the University of Georgia.

Joni King - Senior Vice President

Joni has over 29 years experience in fundraising for both healthcare and senior care. Formally, she served as Director of Major Gifts and Annual Giving for Asbury Foundation in Gaithersburg, MD, Director of Community Relations for Frederick Memorial Healthcare System in Frederick, Maryland, and Director of Community Resources for Crittenton Hospital in Rochester, Michigan. Joni brings knowledge and success in capital campaigns, major gifts, feasibility studies and development audits. She has shown her commitment to her own community as a board member for Shared Vision Public Art and the American Heart Association, as well as a charter member of the Rotary Club of Carroll Creek.

Chris Rollins - Executive Vice President

Chris has over 24 years of success as a trustee, CDO, and consultant which gives him a deep understanding and appreciation for the field of philanthropy. He is President of the Association of Fundraising Professionals’ New Jersey Southern chapter, Past President of the Georgia Association for Development Professionals, and a trustee of the Community Foundation of South Jersey. In 2010, Chris was named South Jersey’s “Fundraising Executive of the Year,” presented at AFP’s International Conference in Chicago, and published his first book – Tell It Like It Is: TRUISMS of Fundraising – available from www.xlibris.com.

Lee Jenkins - Director of Client Services

With nearly 26 years of nonprofit healthcare public relations and marketing communications experience, Lee is an accomplished writer and editor with expertise in managing cost effective and savvy promotional initiatives. She develops websites, newsletters, brochures, donor reports, and other promotional materials for many clients. Previously, she served as a public relations director at the Emory Eye Center and Emory University Hospital and a marketing communications specialist at Saint Joseph’s Hospital of Atlanta. As a volunteer, Lee served on the public affairs advisory committees of the National Eye Institute, LifeLink of Georgia, the American Heart Association, and the American Cancer Society. Lee is a graduate of Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina.

Karen Barnes - Marketing Specialist

Karen has worked in direct communications for over 16 years and has a background in both for-profit and non-profit management and development. Her focus is on managing donor and customer relations as well as promoting increased engagement through online marketing strategies and techniques. Karen is a graduate of the University of Colorado, Boulder with a degree in English and History with graduate studies in Technical Writing. She is a 2011-2012 Board Member of the University of Colorado Alumni Association and a member of the Non-profit Technology Network.

Kelley Nan Henderson - Director of Operations

Kelley Nan has proven success as a marketing coordinator and operations manager in financial planning. She is experienced in demographical research, seminar and event management, media relations, and client communications. Kelley Nan’s positive, results-oriented approach and marketing background along with her strong organizational and creative writing skills provides an effective base for an ever expanding value-added client support effort. Kelley Nan graduated from Radford University in Radford, Virginia, with a degree in marketing and advertising.
